Leading fire protection company installs Spraytec |

The Marioff Corporation, a leading manufacturer of water mist fire protection systems, has installed a Malvern Instruments Spraytec particle size analyzer in its R&D facility at the company’s headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. The Spraytec system was installed as part of a programme to extend the Marioff R&D facility and is in use in the 200m3 fog spray room where it is being employed to measure droplet size distributions. Amit Lior, Marioff’s R&D applications engineer, is pleased with the performance of the Spraytec system, commenting that, “It will be used for QA testing of production nozzles, but its main function is to quickly test new R&D ideas without having to wait for results from external laboratories.” Spraytec is a laser diffraction based particle size analyzer designed specifically to overcome the practical difficulties of measuring aerosols and sprays.
